I believe that it is easier to view the image at this url ...

Why, it doesn't seem to make any difference to me.  :o

BTW: I'm not going to cross post this in other forums.  :nono:

Hi Greg#1,

I think KLe is just recognising that not everyone is or wants to be a member of DIYA just to see a pic!  Some just don't want the politics!

Hi Guru,

Thanks. I understand now. :D

As far as DIYA politics go, any large group of people are going to have difference of opinions, heated debates and thus generate problems managing these situations. Smaller groups of like minded people, like audiocircle and diyhifi.org, will always offer excellent places for cool off and relax.

BTW: Some forums have rules about posting URLs to other forums. It seems to be tolerated here.

That dual SMPS GB300 is certainly a good job of fitting a lot into a small place.   :D

Now, that is impressive, elegant and concise!
It appears to have better quality caps. How much of a difference does that make?

Thanks for the post

Hi greg#1 and audiojerry,

Yes I think the owner/builder is an EE and comes from a 'power supply' background. He's 'wired' for compactness.

Has already sent me hum/noise readings! He's done well.

cheers,
Greg

It's a big Internet, lots and lots of forums, and more all the time. Each of them has its own style and atmosphere, and different people like to spend time on some better than others. You can't be all things to all people, and no-one has time to read all of the forums. So if you have found something relevant on another forum, then please let people here know about it :thumb:

Hi KLe,

I'm building a GB150, unfortunately, I'm also building 3 other amps and 2 preamps at the same time, so I never really know which project I'll be working on next. The SKA is complete except for the wiring, probably a couple of days work at the pace I go. I didn't like the blue and white wire that goes under the SKA PCB so I am just finding a suitable replacement, probably enamelled copper?

Hi Greg
You are a busy beaver!

Wrsto the wiring, I actually changed mine around. I placed the PS wires under the PCB and the Speaker +wire (the blue and white wire) on the component side. That worked much better for me and kept the PS wires close to the chassis floor.

Thanks again and look forward to hearing about your SKA :thumb:
