"Seminarian" I, too, find the SB3 to be fantastic when it works. And it works most of the time. I have had two FLAC tracks just not play. Stops the whole CD in its track (pun intended).

you might have a bad FLAC file - you can easily test your files with http://www.vuplayer.com/files/flactester.zip  This little program sits on your desktop and you just drop/drag a single file or a whole directory.  It tests them pretty fast.
