Hi Konut,

Yes...I see what you mean...it seems as though you have given a great deal
of thought to your meditations on crossovers...I am extremely grateful for your
highly balanced and considered insights into this fundamental problem...
recognizing the need to keep costs modest and the technology simple...

Bravo!!!! Nice going!!!!

I will certainly consider your solution very carefully...as I move more deeply into
putting together the entire ensemble...

Today just for fun I screwed in the beautifully designed Hawthorne Audio
horn tweeter in the back of one of the Silver Iris mid/bass driver and hooked up the
crossover that comes with it and attached my simple Radio Shake thin gauge
lamp/speaker cables to it...I then placed it back into the box Darrel ships the Silver
Iris drivers in and turned my system on...

The Silver Iris is in the box on the floor facing up...the other driver of the stereo
pair is my B200 in OB...and guess what...

They sounded incredible together...there was even a convincing sound space!!!!!!!

Naturally the Silver Iris is playing at an extreme disadvantage...no baffle...on the floor
facing up and so on...and yet it blended with the B200 beautifully...

Tomorrow I will conduct some experiments with my B200 baffles at Jim McCathy's
house...the master cabinet maker that built my simple original pair of OB's
and talk about the design for the first OB for the Silver Iris...

More to come soon!!!! This is very exciting!!!!

Warm Regards -Richard-
