perpetual technologies p1a problem
« on: 6 Jan 2006, 02:42 am »
Hi,

I bought a second hand pt p1a a couple of years ago to match my p3a dac.  Over the last few months i have been having an intermittent problem with the music dropping out for very short periods of time i.e. i can see the red signal on the p3a come on and the music drop out.

I've replaced the cdp i was using and i'm still having problems with it.  I do have a problem with the i2s jack on the p1a and have to toggle it a bit to get sound.

Any ideas?

Regards

Rod

What I2S cable are you using?  I had the same problem with a Camelot cable.  Switching to a different cable fixed the problem.

I have a better cable if you are interested.

Hi,

I was thinking i might have to send the p1a off to the factory.  I think the problem is the i2s input but perhaps it is the cable.

What type of cable do you have available?
