SB3 Analog Mod - Auricap Value?
« on: 3 Jan 2006, 06:43 pm »
Not trying to DIY my own Vinnie SB3 analog mod but I was thinking if that Auricap is external, is it possible to change caps fairly easily?

Wondering what value of Auricap Vinnie is using on the output? I have a personal affection for oil caps and I'd like to try these at some point. Auricaps are very good but I think oils are a little warmer and smoother.

Hi Horizons,

I use 2.2uF Auricaps.

The leads of the caps go through the enclosure.  One end goes to the RCA jack, and the other end is surface-mounted to the board.  This is very fragile and easy to damage if you are not very careful.  :!:
