free software to diagram a room??

thanks for the responses. I measured where I have the speakers and they are 39 from the front wall and 24 from the side

I moved the 4 foot x 8 foot acoustic panels from behind the speakers to directly next to them(fitting into the corner) - I have light now but like Scott said, I don't think my imaging is quite as good and the system sounds a little hard - Bass is better though... Gonna give it a few days - maybe all the sunshine is affecting my ears, eheheh

I like your set up and room decor. Have you considered a soffit style bass trap? Your room is rather small, and a soffit would look good and make the room feel less cluttered.

Whats a soffit style bass trap? I moved the 4x8x2" panels back behind the speakers where they where before - much better again but no natural light - oh well

I moved the 2 2x4x4" panels that were in the rear corners to behind the chair - much better. I then put the foam bass columes in the rear corners. Everything sound really good now - quite amazing real that such a small change made such a difference toward better sound...
