Sorry if this topic has been posted already.
I have a Sony VAIO desktop replacement laptop on which I've installed Foobar 2000 and use to play my CDs. The laptop is connected to a Kenwood Integrated Amp. I would like to know if there is any difference in the quality of the sound if I use, for instance, a dedicated CD Player from Technics circa 1994? The basis of this is question is that even 16 bit sound cards have improved in their output since the early days.
