That's true.  I was a bit dissapointed he didn't really have anything to say about the CEC except that he thought the Sony would be better (with clock mods).

Are you still going to get your Parasound modded?  I've been doing a bit of reading, and I've noticed a common description of the Parasounds is very smooth but lacking in weight.  You mentioned the electronics were not as good as the mechanism.  Do you think that's why some people perceive a lack of bass?

Dan Wright told me the same last week--that he had modded a TL-0 and a TL-1 and that the electronics could be better.  Dan said he knew exactly what to do to mine in order to bring slam and authority to the music.  We all know he's an expert at that...

I noticed one of the Parasound belt drive transports on Audiogon.  It's listed by Hollywood Sound, a dealer who's trustworthy (I've bought speakers & TT).  Since he's a business, his $$ might be a little higher than just someone clearing out his own gear, but someone might think the trustworthiness is worth the extra $$.
