Soundideas,

Are you just a hard-core audio tweaker...or do you have something to gain in promoting Iso-clean fuse products :?:

Please answer - otherwise this post becomes trash soon.

No, I'm not connected with this company in any way. I'm just a hard-core tweaker that knows you get alot more for your money with some tweaks than spending alot more and only getting about the same improvement........ :nono:

I see Richard Patrick (AKA Sound Ideas) is at it again...he's posting this exact thing to all the forums he can muster up...he must be bored.

He did the same thing last winter I believe..same sales pitch, same mumbo jumbo talk...like a broken record he is.

Oh and all the tweaking he does is played through this bad boy (per Richard)!

Please go away SI/Richard.

The Poor Man's Cryo Treatment...... I have done this to all my components and cables. First take two trash bags and put your component in it and then take a vacuum and suck the air out and tie it off good. Then wrap the trash bag with a thick blanket and put it in the Freezer for 48 hours. After that, put it in the refrigerator for 24 hours, then put it in the coldest part of the house for 24 hours. After that, remove the blanket and take the component out of the trash bags and your really to enjoy that improved sound. Just try this on a CD or DVD or one of your LP's first and see what you think........... 8)

Hi all, this is a great tweak!..... here's how you do it, put your cables, components in two trash bags and put them in the freezer for 48 hours and then put them in the refrigerator for a day or so. I have done this to everything in my stereo/video system. I took out my circuit boards out of my TV, done these.....big improvement, my satellite receiver, my Mi-Rollers, my Dakiom feedback stabilizers,my crossover speaker network and so on, everything! This is safe to do, a friend of mine has been doing this for two months now, everything working great. Do some of your CD;s first and see how you like it.................Richard

Freezer Cryoed Cables...
Hi all, you can get about the effect as Cryoed treatments by putting your cables or components in the Freezer for 24 hours and then put them in the refrigerator for one or two hours.........this REALLY works!!! Try this with the cables you have now.......Try this for yourself and see if you "hear a difference"............Richard

He received plenty of laughs that year and well into 2005..he has ZERO credibility on all the forums he rehashes his silly ideas ..over and over and over again...

See ya again next year Richard! On second though...go back home.

His 5th or 6th variance on the way to do it....get's funnier every time he does it..."Oh wait! Do it for 72 hours now,not 48!..." Blah blah

I tried something different that is even better now! .....First make sure the Freezer is set at the (lowest Temperature setting)..........then put your CD's, DVD's, Cables, or Components in a air tight bag and then wrap the bag in a towel and then put it in the Refrigerator for 24 hours.........then put them in the freezer for (72 hours).........then put them back in the Refrigerator for 24 hours......then put them in the coldest part of your house for 24 hours......then your ready to enjoy.............Richard

Dang! This is Deja Vu all over again.
Richard's/SoundIdea's tweak seemed oddly familiar..... Then it hit me! Over 30yrs ago (when I was far less respectable) I used to put a couple of pounds of dry ice in a garbage bag, plus the component to be tweeked, and stick it in a refrigerator for a few days until the dry ice sublimated. Exactly the same, but the component to be tweaked wasn't interconnect or speaker cables, but rather a kilo of weed..... thems were the days. I too was firmly convinced that the tweak worked......
Everything old is new again.

John Ryder,

Is it that hard listening to the guy? He may be repetitive, but he seems excited enough.

Frankly, Stan Warren told me about the freezing CD-in-your-own-freezer process a few years ago.  I've never done it, but far be it of me to doubt Mr. Warren on anything audio.  He also called it Poor Man's Cryo.

So, it's either very popular myth that 'Soundideas' is spreading, or it might just work.

Either way, what's the harm in letting 'Soundideas' spread his gospel here?  And, so he uses an old Pioneer receiver - perhaps he doesn't have a lot of disposable income, or cares to parcel his earnings on other thing non-audio related matters.

I'm not trying to give ya' grief, I'm just wondering why you care sooo much that Sound Ideas is here on AC? Your first and only three posts on AudioCircle are to redicule the guy. Sheesh.

I think, say what you wanna' say here as long as it doesn't jeapordize someone's life, or otherwise denigrate another person, while saying it on Audio Circle. So far, I don't see or hear any derogatory stuff from Soundideas...so let him playa little, will ya'?  :)

One of the more interesting legends surrounding bananas is that their skins are said to have hallucinogenic properties. Supposedly the skin contains a substance called bananadine, which when dried and smoked is rumored to cause hallucinations; this was apparently the inspiration for the song Mellow Yellow, by the 1960's singer-songwriter Donovan. Back in the 70's friends of mine, upon hearing of this proclamation, attempted this act—the only mind-altering experience they said to have had was an incredible headache. I personally recommend consumption of bananas through ingestion, not inhalation. And another interesting yet trivial "banana fact" is that Elvis' last meal was a fried banana and peanut butter sandwich, though this was most probably not the cause of his demise.
