I've already modded the heck out of it and just thought this would be a small upgrade, but I just changed out the stock inductors to the ones Tripath specifies (AW600-06-48T-24-V) and, wow, it made a huge difference in the overall presentation and dynamics. Better mids and highs. The dynamics in this amp are amazing now. Paid $3.65 each through Amidon. Well worth it. They have a minimum order so get some for your friends.

Hi rotcoddam,
Thanks for posting your findings.
I'm a little hesitant to swap the inductors on the Red Wine modded Teac because it sounds so well balanced, with plenty of dymanics and a sweet top end (mostly the result of removing the stock switching power supply and using SLA battery power).
Still, I am definitely interested in those inductors you tried and will see if I can get some to try out.
Thanks again,
