I just love Greggs' cables. Have them for over a year in my system and they are super realistic and natural sounding. In my opinion can not be beat by any other cable for any price.    :D

George,

I've been listening to music every spare minute. The sound I'm getting right now is the closest I've come to perfection. When my Bolder modded SB3 arrives and with continued system break in, I expect my system will rival the very best sound possible. :D

I expect it would too.....

Very nice system you put together.

Just wanted to update the forum. I have finally got some hours on my system with greggs ics and speaker cables.  Without going into a long discussion I think these cables are spot on tonally and are really a joy to have around.

Im enjoying them much better to some other stuff i have around here.  Gregg's stuf is top notch a great value.

I concur with Kbuzz.....

I had the pleasure of having Gregg come over a few weekends ago.  He brought over his speaker cables, jumpers, and ICs, and we listened to tunes with different combinations of cables.  He's a super nice guy, pleasant to work with!

I ended up buying a shotgun bi-wire pair of his Reality speaker cables for my Andras.  We deemed that the shotgun bi-wires were better than a single run with jumpers.

These speaker cables have what's improtant to me, starting with a very realistic portrayal of the midrange, great tonality and decay from instruments, with a wide, deep, and airy soundstage.  The cables are also "fast" with the dynamics and transient response that I look for.  Overall, they provide my system with the "real" feel, and they are an outright bargain.  I'm not sure that you can find an equivalent cable at anywhere near this price with this kind of performance.  I can live with these for a long time!

Nice job Gregg!

What is shotgun biwire?  Is it two sets of cables in one jacket?

Shotgun bi-wire = 2 individual runs (one for the bass, and one for the highs/mids), connected to one spade on the amp end.

Basically you have two pairs of wires going to the speaker instead of one, but only one spade to contend with on the amp end.

Thank you LadyDog for bringing this to my attention...the seller Kevin lived nearby, and I picked up the cables today. He has a few other nice items available, and he needs to sell them to cover some future medical expenses....best of luck to you Kevin.... :thumb:

I have noticed that a lot of people are asking about my power cords. First off as number of you know, my interconnects and speaker cables will compete with some of the best cables in the market regardless of cost at a fraction of the cost of them. Even surpassing highly regarded cables costing 5 times what my cables cost.

As far as my power cords, I feel that power cords are real system dependent. My power cords work great in some places and are just ok in other places. We find that they work better on solid state gear than on tube gear. They may work great on one of your pieces of gear and may not be as good as someone else's power cord in another piece of gear. I personally use my power cords on my amp and preamp. I use something else for my digital. It really boils down to a try it and see approach. I do offer a 20 day money back guarantee on 6 footers.

Thanks,

Gregg

Just throwing a log on here...I've had Gregg's speaker cables in my system and playing for 72 hours now, and they are amazing.  Before, there was always something not right - either piano was a touch off, cymbals didn't shimmer, whatever.  I've tried 5 different speaker cables and 3 different IC's in various combinations over the last 10 weeks, but the search is over.

Last night, I turned the lights off and Kansas came and played in my living room.  Then they left and Lionel Richie took over.  I closed the show with a little Chuck Mangione, and his band was amazing.  Yep, these cables actually put the performers in the room with me!  I didn't think my system (my speakers, specifically) were capable of getting me this last, ultimate step, but they darn sure did, and it turned out to be cables that were the limiting factor all along.

Kudos, Gregg.  Your cables are the real deal, and you are a true pleaure to deal with.  I'm looking forward to switching to your IC's just to round out the system in a month or so.

Reality speaker cable break-in question.....
Time to resurrect this thread.....I know these speaker cables come with some break-in time from Gregg.  How did the sound change with subsequent break in your system?  How long of additional break-in time is recommended or needed?

Thanks!

Just received Gregg's Reality ICs which I bought from Bluewax (thanks mate!) and wanted to say how well it synergised with my system. The timbral accuracy, tonal balance, neutrality, and "realism" is beyond description. Ran Gregg's ICs from my Mhdt Paradisea (WE396A tubes) to my McCormack ALD-1 and suddenly the gap between the Altmann Attraction DAC and the overachieving Paradisea suddenly narrowed. Before, I used to say that the Paradisea at 1/4 the Altmann's price performed at 2/3s of the Altmann. I think the performance factor is now 3/4!! I think Gregg has aptly named his cables "Reality" and what Gregg's ICs simply did was to restore the realism of music! I simply forgot about my system, refrained from audophilia analysis and enjoyed my music (Stacey Kent's raspy, laidback voice)! Music just sounds right! I would like to thank Bluewax for a great deal, and Gregg for a wonderful IC that has just made me connect to the music!
