I sent this email to Audio Fest this morning:

Quote
There will be a group of attendees from www.audiocircle.com attending Rocky Mountain Audio Fest.  Many of us have never met and it would be nice if there was a way to identify ourselves to one another.

Would it be possible to include our moniker on our name badge?

Example:

Jeff Neri / Captain Humble

Thanks

Here's their reply:

Jeff,

Thank you for your support of the show. If you send me a list of the people from your group, I will be able to put their moniker on their name badges.
Unfortunately, our current registration form does not accommodate a company name (to be changed for next year!!) If a list is not possible, please let everyone know they need to email me with their moniker. It is best if this is done by Sept. 20, 2005.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Those of you that are preregistered or will preregister for the show are welcome to post the name you used for preregistration along with your moniker and I will forward the list to Audio Fest on Sept. 19th.

I will post a copy of that email here on the 19th so everyone can confirm that I didn't miss anyone before the deadline.

Those of you that would rather email the info directly to Audio Fest are welcome to do so.  Here's the address:

rmAudioFest@yahoo.com

I look forward to this event and all of the equipement that will be featured. I also see it as a great opportunity to meet as many of our A/C members as possible and personally thank those that have been such great resources in my pursuit of this hobby.  Monikers on our badges will make identifing one another much easier.

Great idea Jeff. Maybe you can convince them to put AudioCircle in front of the moniker. Something like AudioCircle: Captain Humble.

In any case, my name badge is Mike Galusha.

It would also be nice if we could find an agreeable time to have a AC meet and greet. Maybe the hotel bar on Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 or something like that. I know some folks are getting together on Saturday night in various places but it would be cool to meet all the AC folks in one spot.

I like it.  Whatever time you pick works for me.

I do want to check out the blues show Friday night.  Your badge gets you in at no charge.  Starts at 8.  Open seating.

Hi Jeff,

I'm a new member here.  What a great idea.  I'd love to get to meet some of the others on this site.  I'm registered as Dean Love.  Thanks for taking this initiative.  Hope to meet you there.

Oh yeah, that's the main reason I suggested afternoon on Friday. I figure on Friday most of the sytems won't be sounding their best anyway, so spending a couple of hours enjoying a libation with some AC folks won't cause you to miss much and still leave plenty of time for dinner and the concert. I'm a big blues fan, so I'm very much looking forward to the show.

Got you on the list G.ear.
At this point looks like 3 to 5 in the hotel bar Friday for a little A/C happy hour.  I'll check with the hotel tomorrow to see how many bars they have so there isn't any confusion once we get there. See you there.

The main bar/eatery is to your left after entering the front doors. Pretty easy to find. There may be other but this is where I enjoyed a beverage last year. This is (IIRC) the south end of the hotel.

Hey Captain, are we still planning the get together on Friday afternoon  from 3-5 at the Great Divide Brewing Company Pub?  It's been awhile since this thread was posted, and some of the folks who didn't respond to this initial thread but did to your later one might not have seen this one.  What would you think of making a new post regarding the get together for A/C members?  The more the merrier, I always say.  Can't wait to meet all you characters.
