winters...I was just trying to describe what I've found about the AKSA amps.

One of these days I hope to make a single driver speakers too.  But that may be a few projects away :)

i guess when the sound is so good that you are drawn into your music
it must be hard to then think about the sound
abit like trying to talk when you are really into a good book or film.

i suppose that is what real sound in a hi fi does

takes your mind away from the sound and takes your heart to the music

i came across a site for a diy full range kit
you could build yourself for cheaper
but to me,
the prices seem ok if you are not good at woodworking,

here is the link for them

http://www.madisound.com/bk16.html

would value your feedback on the price and what the drives are like
as you seem to know alot more then me as you have built your
own speakers,
i know nothing,

Jason

   Hi winters,

I haven't heard the ff165 fullrange driver...so it's difficult for me to say how they would sound.  But...looking at the parts, including the fairly expensive T90 tweeter (which I have used/nice)...the price seems to be a good deal.

I'd ask around at the madisound board.  Ask for opinions on this exact kit and also how it performs with any possible replacement drivers, should you want to upgrade the ff165 fullrange driver in the future.

The guys at madisound would be a great place to start>>>

    good luck,
   dan
