Groneberg Cables, Standard vs. Premium

sorry for running this train off the rails but boys will be boys. everyone on this forum has great gear and i would be proud to own any of it.  all of odyssey audios electronic equipment is designed by Rolf Gemien who owns Symphonic line and that is why i include this equipment in some of my posts. certainly there is great synergy when you combine the two brands as they were tweaked by the same designer. back to the heart of the matter.Byteme who posts on this forum frequently, owns ts premium speaker cable and maybe he will respond to this post or you could pm him and see what his impressions of the ts premium speaker cables are. as far as i am concerned the ts premium ic cable is wonderful when used with the odyssey gear and i would recommend it to anyone who uses this gear. thanks!

Getting back to the cables for a second - sounds like the Premium/Reference interconnects are worth getting. What about speaker and power cables? Klaus suggested that this wouldn't make too much difference. Anyone have these?

I feel the answer to this question, like much of what goes on in audio, is system/owner dependent. That being said: 1) I use Groneberg Quattro speaker cable, and wonder how the TS Premium cables would sound. 2) I have used the Groneberg Quattro PC with a Stratos/cap upgrade and enjoyed enhanced sound. Then I ordered a VH Audio cryoed Flavor 2, because I relocated my system and the Groneberg was now too short. I found the Flavor 2 PC to be an even better match with my then-Stratos amp. (I have never tried the Groneberg TS Premium PCs.) I subsequently purchased a pair of Extreme Monos (thanks again, Klaus!), and use VH Audio cryoed Flavor 4s to great effect with them. I do not know how the Extremes sound with other PCs including the Groneberg variants, because I haven't tried any other PCs with the Extremes. 3) I note I still use a VH Audio cryoed Flavor 2 with my Tempest.

I also note I love Walker SST on PCs, ICs, IECs, speaker cables, etc. I offer that you may wish to try this tweak first, prior to laying down greater amounts of $ on PCs et al. I feel the Walker SST lets you hear loads more of what your system is capable of delivering. CAVEAT - be extremely careful when using SST, follow directions carefully.

YMMV.
