I just got in the new Neo's.

They are 8 ohm units now. They also have something similar to the PDR technology on the front side only. This gives them a wider and more even off axis response. See front and back side views.

Output level is kept high just like the standard version as all 5 rows of Neo's are still in place.

The peak in the top end as been tamed as well and they have better extension than the older version. All looks good.

Now if I can just get those new woofers in. Learning XBL^ involved a learning curve. They are close to having the woofers to a point that will get them approved (by me). I think the next change or two that they are now implementing will get them where I want them to be.

Hang on, these are really going to be good, and kits will be made available to everyone that has been patiently waiting for them.

It is also true that there is a rather well know company out there that will be offering these fully assembled and ready to play in really nice finishes for ridiculously good prices.

I look forward to hearing them.  Which will you be bringing to the RMAF in October?

BTW: It was fun and educational spending some time with you while you were up in my neighborhood.  :)

I only wish I could have them ready by then, but it doesn't look like it.

I'll have the new RA8 array that I am working on for Raw Acoustics and possibly something really new and really, really good to unveil there.  :D The bar is being raised again.

I was blessed to have meet you and can't thank you enough for your assistance in getting the XLS speakers up and playing on the day the show started.

I really appreciate the CD as well, but somehow I appeared to have left it in the demo room. This makes more than once that you have shared some good tunes with me. I will have to return the favor soon.

I'll send a copy of the CD to the GR Research address.  I know you wanted a copy of that one track.

It will be good to see the RAW cabinet work.  Will you be sharing a room with Gary Dodd again?

Thanks Brad, I have a couple of really good ones I'll send your way too.

Al's cabinet work is really good, and yes I will be sharing a room with Dodd Audio. I think he will be offering some really good show specials too.

Sorry if I missed it, but have you finalized the pricing Danny?
Thank you.

$$$

Price won't be finalized until I am through designing the networks, and can facture in that cost. In the end it will simply cost the consumer the total sum of the parts and drivers.

Based on known drivers costs the LS-6 will be in the $1,400. to $1,600. range, and the LS-9 will be in the $2,000. to $2,200. range.

Those prices are for the kit (per pair) and do not include enclosures.

I just did some quick math in my head and those LS-9s are huge!  I think you let that 20-21 Epiphany go to your head.  :D

BTW: Are these ported?

They are pretty big/tall.

Quote from: Danny
Width will be no more than 12.5" on both units. The LS-6 is going to be in the 5'4" range while the LS-9 will be in the 6'8" range.

Well, you know, they were designed here in Texas. I live in Texas. It all seams about the right size to me.

Brad, these are rear ported and the Epiphany 20/21's in my den are 7'7" tall.

Yeah, I've seen the 20-21s in person (at last year's RMAF) - I'm pretty impressed that they took on the task of bringing the big ones to the show.

I guess I think any speaker taller than me is big.  :)

I can visualize the LS9s in my HT already.  Having a problem with the center & surrounds though.  I just can't make them out.

I've been watching these for years as my speaker to have.  Maybe this version will be the one for me!

Darn fine looking work.  More pics!

Hang in there and I'll get some info up on the center channels that will be available and the surrounds.

Looks good. I read the thread and may have missed this, but is there a projected finish date on these through you or the "online retailer" your working with? If not that is fine, just curious. This year, middle of next?
