Well after nearly 7 months building we are in our new home in Kerikeri. For the first time I have the SS8's on the plinths & they look great with & without the grills. Had little chance to listen but what i have done sound awesome. I am using by old B & W CDM 9nt for rears on the odd occaission when watching movies

Latest (and probably final) system after a lot of upgrades and room treatments, mostly driven by trying to maximize our Salk Speakers. Jim's speakers get better and better with each and every electronics upgrade. Loving the SS8's!

Og, do you think that the plants that you have behind the speakers help with the sound? My speakers have been in three different rooms. They sounded best in a room with some plants behind them in a similar room as yous. Although it was also a situation where the speakers were further from the wall. Just curious on you opinion.

The acoustic treatments blend in very well, even the wicker touch to get them up off the ground

Wait until you see the awkward room I am setting up in these new digs. It will be fugly. A combination room between 2 channel and HT. yuck! And dimensionally challenged. Photos next week after I get the shelves finished this weekend and then begin hauling gear out of boxes.

I moved to a new home back in December. Single and 27, so WAF was not an issue for me

My cell phone doesn't really capture the true look of my speakers, but the pics should at least give you an idea.

Here's a pic of the room. The speakers are over to the left, outside of what's shown in the pic.

coke Nice set up,how big is the room. Also what components do you have? I've also got ht2-tl's in pau ferro rosewood. No home theatre though.

Thanks! Im not exactly sure but I think it's around 20'x30' with 24' ceilings. The pic below was taken by the previous owners and shows the area a little better. It looks a lot better now

coke Nice size room,is that a house or a cottage? Sure wish i had a room like that.Does all that wood paneling make the room live or well dampened?
