being leary of a piano finish as too glossy for my tastes/room
I'm going standard finish for the exact same reason. That high gloss lacquer finish screams fine furniture, and I'm not really intending to place the speakers in THAT fancy of a surrounding.
I thought about the different color drivers once I knew there WERE options, but I liked the standard colors in my case, so didn't change anything there. Gordy and I are basically getting the same HT3's, just different veneers.
I'm going with HT3's, HT1's (sealed), and an HTC. All speakers with curly bubinga veneer and bubinga pomelle baffles. HT3's will have plinths also of course and the sonicaps upgrade. Feel free to talk me into other upgrades if you can.
