Sherwood Stereo Receiver (RX4105) $94.99
I think I can do better....for $25.00 more
Some of my mods could fix that
Ok guys, here is a challenge for you. Can you do any worse than this system?
Ok now you've crossed the line. My first forray into audiophiledom if you will consisted of a Soundcraftsman pcr 800 (phase control regulation) amp that I purchased back in 1984 at Crazy eddies. Real state of the art stuff in it's day. Anyone old enough and living in the N.Y N.J metropolitan area surely remebers Crazy eddies "His prices were insane" I still have the amp and would never sell it All kidding around aside the amp really doesn't sound too bad and is probably a step up from the Layayette - Criterion stuff being sold around the same time.Ken
But these days Soundcraftsman is what you find on the bottom shelf at the K-Mart or Jupiter Outlet store and the Big Red Barn Flea Market.
This auction features a set of 2 Digital Research Home Theater Floor Speakers NIB. These speakers not only look great with a black piano lacquer finish and gold aluminized cone design, but they sound incredible!!!

hahahaha. I actually searched on 'digital speakers' because I knew that would produce the 'best' results.. I love the way my speakers produce 'digital' sound... krrrrreeeeekrrrrreeeeekrrrrrreeeee 00010101010101 Yummy!I don't know if anyone remembers 'the Egyptian Lover' but in his song called 'My House on the Nile' he says/raps that he uses 'solid gold speakers, to hear this song'... man, those were the days... (of the Casio D-50)
I think I'm going to bid on one of these Insignia receivers. They are going for as little as $11-$21 on ebay and there seems to be a never ending supply of them(which really isn't a good sign). You seem to get a lot of amp for the money. The receiver has 100 watts per channel pre out main in jacks and 5 way binding post and a torrodial power supply. The Insignia actually looks very similiar to the Marantz sr4320. [img]htt ...
