Anyone interested in some Onix Ref 1's on the cheap?

I posted this in the AV123 Circle, too, but I figured I'd gauge the interest here.

I've been itching to try the Onix SP3 Tube Integrated Amplifier, but I don't really need or want the speakers. Providing the deal is good for awhile, the amp plus the Reference 1 speakers in Rosewood is $1200- essentially, you could look at the amp or the speakers as costing $200.

If anyone wants the speakers but not the amp, I'd be interested in working out a deal to split the combo up. I'm thinking 1/2 each or thereabouts is fair. Reg price on the amp is $1k, the speakers $1,200. PM me if this sounds good at all.

I think the deal is $1,199 EACH.

The price is for both the Ref1s and the tube amp. It's a great deal.

The deal is still going on, quite a bargain really. I just picked up the SP3 via a third party and I love it more than i ever thought I could. I have it paired with the Rocket 850s and it is simply awesome.

You would probably need a subwoofer, and the SP3 doesn't have a line-level out. So your subwoofer would need to handle the SP3's speaker output and then pass along the signal to the Ref 1's, or you would have to use an external crossover. I don't know if either of these would degrade the signal.

An Outlaw ICBM would probably work very well for this.

The Ref1 is definitely not suitable for a large-ish room. I had them in my large living room and they didn't sound good so I moved them back into a regular 12'x12' room.
