If I install the Monica 2 dac in the Teac, I will need to also install a volume control because you cannot send the output of the dac full-blast into the amp section. I can do this, and also install and input select so you can select between the internal dac, or external sources (dvd, cd, etc.).
If you want to use an external preamp, it is best to keep the Teac as just a power amp with no volume control or dac, and get the dac separate.
