Looking for insight on Spatial speakers over Box Speakers

Hi everyone!

My quest for new speakers has led me to you all, in the hopes of learning more about the character of Spatial speakers. Some context:

I’m running a Sonnet Morpheus into a Rega Elicit Mk 5 into Mission 700s. In the process of upgrading my speakers, I acquired a Luxman MQ-88uSE 25 watt push pull KT88 tube amp, and I’ll be acquiring a CL-38uC to go with it. So I’m going for high efficiency tube friendly speakers.

What I like about my missions - they’re fun. Really fun. They groove, and they make you want to move. They’re mid bass forward. But they’re veiled and not refined. I’m ready for a leap in speaker.

What I’ve heard: Phiharmonic BMR monitors, DeVore O/96s, Fyne F701SP, Fyne F703SP, Buchardt S400s

The highlights are that we didn’t like the BMR for being way too polite and sterile. The Buchardts are fine. The DeVore were incredible - full, warm, fun, groovy. The Fyne 701SP were very clear and clean and forward, but lacking meat. The F703SP were a happy middle ground to the DeVore.

In the process of reading up more on the O/93 and O/96 to try and see if I was willing to swing that high on the price spectrum, I saw someone talk about how the O/96 didn’t move him off of their Pure Audio Duet15s, and now it has me going down the open baffle rabbit hole.

My question to you all - I keep seeing people being effusive about the lack of box and the sound that gives, and the bass you can get once broken in. I haven’t seen much talk about fun, groove, warmth and musicality.  How do the Spatials fare there? I’m looking at the X4 P2s. I can give them about 32inches from front baffle to the wall behind them in a 12x20 room in the middle of the long wall firing across the width, I have the tube amp, and I’m looking for a magical, wow sound, I just want it to be fun, engaging, emotionally activating and groovy. Would love to hear your thoughts!
