So I recently required some furniture change in my listening room. Dog vs skunk is not a fun way to wake up in the morning.

Anyway, I bought a new cheap club chair and decided to arrange to pull speakers out into the room more than they had been. It's a little more claustrophobic and wife will never step foot in the space, but the sound is SO much better. More detail, much more soundstage depth, and speakers are far closer to fully disappearing, not just some of the time. Room is 10'3 deep, and though it doesn't look like it the front of speakers are out 42" into the room.

Before you ask, most listening is done with blankets over tv.

If anyone hasn't played around with pulling speakers way out into the room, I definitely recommend trying. Even small spaces can sound pretty damn good.
