Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dave Mason, co-founder of the British psychedelic rock band Traffic, passed away peacefully at his home in Gardnerville, Nevada, on April 19, at the age of 79. His family shared a touching tribute on Instagram, stating that he had just finished cooking a wonderful dinner with his wife Winifred and sat down to take a nap in his favorite chair with his dog Star at his feet when he passed away.

Wow, I don't know how this news escaped me.  As if his work with Traffic and Delaney and Bonnie wasn't enough, his "Alone Together" is one of my favorite albums of all time.  Haven't heard much about him in years. 

Good to hear that he passed comfortably, with his best friend at his feet.
