PARTY TIME!!!!! MY TOYS ARE IN!!!!!
The final stages of my project are replacing the Perlisten 5T (tower) speakers with a smaller more wife friendly Tiny T. The guys at Bryston are incredible and constructed a pair of walnut Tiny t's for me. They are well built, beautiful walnut with excellent sonic performance.
I purchased of Monitor Audio 89 Stands - beautiful artwork. I filled the stands with 40# number 9 nickel shot. Great foundation. I received the Tiny t's expecting that they would have the tapped feet similar to the Model T series I have purchased in the past. Unfortunately, not the case.
I had planned to construct a custom plate for the Tiny t's to go atop the MA stands and anchor the Tiny t's with bolting through the bottom of the plate into the threaded inserts where the feet normally thread. No go. No inserts.
Yes, I know there is a play dough that can go between the speaker and the stand; however, with an 8 & 10 year old, that does not feel entirely secure.
Would like advice from the knowledgeable Bryston crowd on this proposed operation. Planning on begging Bryston for 8 wooden threaded inserts to insert into the bottom of the tiny t's.
Thanks to everyone.
Especially Bryston and Eric who put up with me through this process.
