Arco (2026) - a film about friendship and possibilities

WGH

"Arco" is about how two children from different times become friends and how an accidental meeting can heal the Earth. The colorful, hand-drawn, two-dimensional animation is relaxing to watch, the story is so perfectly told that fast paced action scenes are not needed to hold your attention.

Arco is from the future, his parents and sister time travel aided by a rainbow cape and time crystal but being only 10 years old he is too young to travel. Arco wants to see the dinosaurs his sister talked about so dons his sister's cape while the family is sleeping and takes off, but instead of traveling to the prehistoric age he ends up in 2075 where he meets Iris, a girl his age. 2075 is not as advanced as Arco's time period, all work is done by robots including raising the kids. The parents appear as holograms every evening but it's not the same as real parents. Arco is exactly the friend Iris needs.

“Arco,” is French comics artist Ugo Bienvenu’s first animated feature is produced by Natalie Portman. The English language version features the voices of Natalie Portman, Mark Ruffalo, America Ferrera, Will Ferrell, Andy Samberg and Flea.

"Arco" is a film the entire family can enjoy
