I am considering buying a set of NX-Bravo kits for a bedroom system. They will be mated with a servo sealed sub, and (because it’s a bedroom) cannot be pulled more than about 1 foot from the wall behind them. They will be replacing a set of Harbeth P3-ESR SE speakers that I’ve grown bored with.

Before I pull the trigger, I’d love to hear how y’all would characterize the sound of the Bravos.

So, here is the challenge: Please describe in 5 words or less what Bravos sound like. Owners and anyone who has listened to the speakers are encouraged to chime in.

EXAMPLE: I would describe the Harbeths as warm, relaxed, refined, musical, and holographic.

I have the nx-studios which are just the older big brother model, but should translate very similarly.

Realistic, articulate, emotional, inviting, enveloping

I also have my studios in a small spare bedroom and are about a foot from the front wall. Sealed speakers like these can still work well in that environment.

Does the NX-Bravo measure as good or better than the LS-6 from pure art fi.  NRD measured the LS-6 but it is a different style of spectral decay so I can't tell.  I know they both measure great.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback on the NX-Bravos. Not sure how similar the crossovers for the N-1s and Bravos are, but I imagine they must be pretty close. My experience with Sonicaps sounding a bit analytical in some speakers jives with yours (Tyson)... so I was figuring on getting the standard kit and then tinkering with bypass options until I got them dialed in or mating well with my electronics and room acoustics.

Not a bad way to go at all. Plus it will really let you understand what caps sound good with your gear. If using tube connectors, make sure you have ways to disconnect wiring from parts easily.
