Hello Bryston community,
my BDP-2 now has error code 09. I need the serial cable from motherboard to front panel. it is broken (one wire is separated from mainboard plug). I'm really desperate. Please help. Thanx.

Have you tried calling Bryston? I'd be surprised if they couldn't get the part.

Hi,
according to BRYSTON, the cable is not available anymore, due to the BDP-2 was discontinued 10 years ago. Can anyone obtain the part-number or a description of the two plugs on the serial cable of the BDP-2?

I think you have two options. One is to take your defective cable to a competent tech. It's likely he'll be able to repair it. Another is to take the cable itself to a store that sells computer parts to the DIY and corporate markets. They'll probably recognize it and know where to obtain one.

Fortunately, Adam Tanner from BRYSTON (big thanks) provided me with the necessary information. Now i can order all parts and try to get a replacement cable assembled.
