The Leftovers.  I guess 3 seasons of existential crisis and quiet grief isn't most people's idea of a good time.

I have no way to know if people hated this show but Gilligan Island, is a PITA indeed, the same for Danger Island (but the soundtrack is fantastic).

I enjoyed that one.

There was a sci-fi show called Almost Human which I enjoyed but only got like half a season.

"The Wire" was and still is one of the best drama series ever made. The first episode premiered 24 years ago on June 2, 2002 on HBO. I couldn't afford cable back then but luckily all 5 seasons are available to stream. A few years ago I binged all 5 seasons during a long Tucson summer. Very highly recommended.

Millennials and Gen Z that didn't watch "The Wire" are now old enough to discover this brilliant, gritty and mesmerizing story of the Baltimore drug scene filled with memorable drug dealers (like Omar Little and his sawed-off shotgun) and the cops trying to catch them. All the actors are superb including Clarke Peters, Lance Reddick, Wendell Pierce, Michael Kenneth Williams and Idris Elba.
