I'm putting the majority of my backup/standby components back into service, for a summer place streaming stereo! The signal path includes a Bluetooth receiver, separate dac, integrated amplifier as preamplifier, power amplifier, and  stand-mounted two-way sealed enclosure monitors. The integrated amp in the early 1970s was for my first college dorm room. I had to have the power amp refreshed, bad solder joints kept it from starting up after about 10 years of sleep.

It's going to be a hoot! I already think I'll order replacement mid-woofers and tweeters when the timing is appropriate and maybe update crossovers if necessary. The speakers are mid/late 1970s vintage.

Auris bluMe Pro bluetooth receiver (non-vintage), AVA Vision Hybrid DAC, Kenwood KA-5002 Integrated (preamp), Van Alstine Audio Systems Model Two power amp, Tangent RS-2 monitors. The power amp was refreshed to correct aged-broken solder joints, by a local electronics wizard.

Update:  I successfully put my retro standby components, back into service, as a streaming system for our condo summer place. I stream various sources from my phone. The components in the signal path include an Auris bluMe Pro BT receiver (2022), Kenwood KA-5002 Integrated Amp as preamp (1971), Van Alstine Audio Systems Model Two Amplifier (1979), and Tangent RS-2 monitors (1983).

Also appearing in the photo is an Audio by van Alstine Vision Hybrid DAC (2011), I need to find a local (Worcester, MA or surrounding area) shop to trace a hum developed in one channel, before it will be reinserted into the signal path. The TV is standalone, but our floorspace limitations require compromises.

Listening Impressions: The speakers have a modest bass hump, and the treble is slightly attenuated, resulting in a pleasing sound profile I keep on all day. Based on what I read in AC, a lot of people seem to modify their systems seeking this audio profile. The DAC implementation in the BT is audibly less pleasing than the AVA DAC, but serves fine as a temporary backup.

I'm looking for threaded glides for the bottom of the speaker stands, M8 threading. I need to look at some in Home Depot to confirm whether they will meet my needs. I also need an audio cabinet upgrade, LOL.
