Hi,

Has anyone tried hooking up one of those bass vibration transducers to just extend the bass below the hearing point for the subwoofer and keep it so subtle that it just feels like incredible extension to maybe 10 - 25Hz. It would only come on to tracks that have extremely low bass like Pink Floyd - Pulse - Run like hell, bass wave in the last 30 seconds of the track. Or London Grammar - Routing for you, bass at end of the track. Most music it will do nothing. I think the key is to make it really really subtle.

I had one hooked up to a home theater setup years ago and it was amazing with the effects  Like the Enterprise crashing into the mountain. I was using the sub channel so it was doing up to 80Hz before.

Any thoughts on this.

Our servo subs play flat to 20Hz and hit -3db down points into the teens. So I have never even considered bass shakers.

I have bass shakers under the seats in my home theater room.  They are distracting for music.  I only turn them on for movies.  They are fun if properly adjusted.  The phase or timing has to be adjustable or else you will feel the bomb go off before it actually goes boom on screen.
