Mystery Signal?
« on: 18 May 2026, 05:40 pm »
The other day the power went out, when it came back on I reset everything. But I was picking up a mystery signal through my headphones that is connected to a portable bluetooth headphone amp. Bluetooth was turned off on computer and smart phone, smart tv was connected to computer.
With my earbuds the range I get with bluetooth is about 30 feet without interference. The signal I was picking up sounded like a conversation on a radio or cell but I really wasn't paying attention to the conversation, just wondering where this signal was coming from?

Airport is about 1 mile away.

What do you think? Was my bluetooth headphone amp amplifying this signal?

Not a distant airport.
Probably a 5G phone IMO.

My guess as to what was happening, just a guess as I don't know nothing.
I think I was watching Youtube by HDMI. I had my LG TV in Live Antenna mode for channel search. I can see on my computer the LG can transmit audio through Bluetooth. Since my portable Bluetooth headphone amp was in search mode it picked up the LG TV audio with Bluetooth. So I could have been hearing a cell phone or international space station, I don't know. But it was not likely somebody was in my yard or a neighbor within range of my Bluetooth amp.
