Found AR ES-1 in NY but need help shipping to CA-Any takers?

Well, it's a long shot, butt hay...

Awhile back I found an AR ES-1 turntable on Audiogon but didn't want to pay the asking price. A month went by and I made a low offer which was accepted

but now the seller doesn't want the hassle of shipping it!

If anyone out there is in or near the 914 area code of New York and would be willing to check it out for me, take it away and pack and ship it to me, we can talk about what that would be worth to you for compensation.

Hmmm.....I don't know where the 914 area code is, is it long island? If the seller was able to drop it off at my place I could ship it out to you possibly. I am always going to UPS/FedEx.

Not too far, that is Westchester county, i.e. the county just north of NYC. If he is willing to drive it down and drop it off at my pad in Queens I will hook you up as long as you aren't too impatient as I can't promise when the first chance I will have to go to UPS/FedEx but as I said it is usually pretty frequently.

I'll try to reopen the dialog with him to see if he'd be willing to deliver it locally. I give it a 50/50 shot since his sails seem completely deflated from when he first posted it for sale a month ago. He must not need the bucks too bad right now since it looks like it might be a chore to get him to budge at all.
