Hello, I have used AudioCircle on and off ever since I was in college, nearly 20 years ago, and this account is to be used for my sporadic and occasional posts. I use this user name on other forums, so the purpose of this new account is to align my forum 'brand' with my presence elsewhere. I am much more of a reader than a contributor. I have designed and built my own DIY loudspeakers - again on and off ever since I was in college and built my first speaker, which was a subwoofer. I now work for one of the premier suppliers of automotive electronics and OEM sound systems, where I am an acoustical engineer and designer of transducer components (speakers, bass shakers, and exciters - collectively also called 'drive units', things with voice coil motors), though I only post here in a personal capacity and not to promote myself or my employer. My greatest interest, perhaps not surprisingly, is in the area of loudspeakers and drive units, but I have also built a few amplifiers from Class-D modules that turned out well.
I hope to be a welcome contributor here, though much more a reader.
