The new "Lord of the Flies" is a faithful adaptation of the classic William Golding story that sent chills down my spine. The story is a deeply unsettling tale of how young children that are stranded on a deserted tropical island descend into savagery.
Each episode of the 4-part series unfolds from the perspective of one of the four principal characters: Piggy, Ralph, Simon and Jack. Each actor is perfect in their roles.
The series is written by Jack Thorne, who wrote 2025’s excellent 4-part drama “Adolescence,” also on Netflix, a story about a 13-year-old boy suspected of killing a girl from his school.
If you love drama and gripping story telling then "Lord of the Flies" is one of the "must watch" shows of 2026. I binged all 4 episodes.
