A I ???

I listened to what I discovered to be an artificial intelligence created music performance that was one of the most moving pieces I've heard in quite some time.  When I tried to find more on the artist, I found that he didn't exist!   For days, I've been thinking about the nature of art and music.  I went back and watched the original music video again this morning, and even knowing there was nothing "human" about it, I was still moved to tears.  Is something created by an intelligent computer program art?  Will it create the next great Chopin or Hendrix piece?  And if knowing that what you're watching isn't John Lennon in 2026, does it matter?

In the not-so-distant future, many audiophiles will limit their music catalogs to NHC (non-human-created) tracks because they will sound the most "authentic" on their high-end systems.

It's not too far off from previously released tracks using protools and keyboard to create all pop music the last 20 years. Plus the AI generated music is still being shaped by human request and input. Do I like that every YT video and song generated are AI, no. But is it really that far different?

Funny you mention it, because I was listening to this same AI music last night.
One bonus is AI music usually has Fantastically clean sound quality due to well "perfect" recording.

Here's another AI music I enjoy:

Yep. Some audiophiles refuse to acknowledge their preference for fake-sounding music. We want squeaky-clean, HD, high-res, oversampled, digitally processed, low-noise-floor sound in a treated room, which is antithetical to live music.  That's why AI music will prevail among audiophiles. It's the next level of high definition. Let's coin the term right here on AC -- "AIHD."

Actually, having been listening to various "good" AI music for quite some time, I don't think it can ever replace music made by real humans.  The little idiosyncratic different ways musicians express themselves, even if off-key and not perfect, does make longer listening sessions more satisfying.  Even with the best AI music, I tend to get antsy and itching to change the music after some minutes..

Absolutely!!!  I'm gonna race you to be first in line when the marketing gurus tout "AI-enhanced amplification" or "AI-preferred presets" as the next big things.

The guys who created the AI music weren't thorough. AI can easily fix that issue if you tell it to add little quirks and imperfections. They can use prompts like "add subtle and occasional background sounds to recreate a live music venue," or something like that, which could help.

I am in the process of collaborating with various AI solutions to write and produce an 80’s inspired goth rock album. It’s for my own amusement, but I do own the rights to the tracks. It’s easy to produce something. It takes effort to make something good. More difficult to make something great (thanks to AI being non-deterministic). I have a handful of tracks in progress, but I do have one track complete. Really like it and it would fit nicely on a mixtape with other goth greats from 1983.

Always liked computer music and experimental albums with the 1959/60 pioneers as Iannis Xenakis, or Morton Subotnick husband of Joan La Barbara soprano.

So in the 90s found Larry Fast computer generated music, also very enjoyable tunes.
