New User (not really)
« on: 29 Apr 2026, 02:39 pm »
Hello everyone,

I'm actually a long time AC member (Jazzman53) but I've had to create a new user account and user name because I'm no longer able to login under my original user name.

Anyway;

If my login problem cannot be resolved, then going forward I will be posting under user name "Statman72".   I chose this new user name because I'm 72 years old, and a long time ESL speaker designer/builder.  Here's a link to my DIY speaker website: https://jazzman-esl-page.blogspot.com/

Happy to be here!

Hey Charlie, hope they're able to get you back into your original account.  :thumb:

I'm told that it is not possible to restore login capability to my original user name/account (Jazzman53).

Let this be a warning:  If the email address linked to your account is no longer active (mine wasn't), then DO NOT ATTEMPT to change your password because the attempt will permanently disable your login.

Question, if you had changed the email acct then changed your password would these consequences have occurred?

Admin, weigh in please?

I can't answer that question, I think you would need clarification from an Administrator.

I'm now reluctant to try to change anything about my new account because I don't know how the algorithm works.
