Where, oh where, are the 7B Cubed monoamps?
« on: 17 Apr 2026, 03:13 pm »
I'd love to have a pair, but no one--yes, NO one, at least that I can find--has a 120VAC pair for sale...no used ones, no new ones.. My local dealer says they don't stock any, but they'll be happy to order them, and, BTW, be prepared to wait a couple months, because Bryston, too, doesn't have any.

What kind of business model is that?

Hmm...maybe they're preparing to announce and release the 7B Mk.4?????

Hi Jeff

We make 7B's every week so its about a 2 week wait after we receive the order.
Where are you located?

...and the reason I hadn't found it is because they are advertising a black faceplate for a 7B3...or are they?  I left a message.

TYVM, Jake.  😀

Hi Jeff - the amps are available in 5 different faceplate colours with Silver and Black being the most common.

I bought them.  😁😀😁😀😁

I'm hoping I'll be this happy (or better!) in a month or two.  FWIW, they'll be driving Sound Lab Majestic G7-5Cs, which are 'the same' size as the Mag. 20.7s.  I bought the 7B3s for two reasons--their universally positive reviews the last 10 years or so and their miniscule idle-current draw of 100 watts per chassis.  I already own the excellent PS Audio BHK600s, but their 225 Watts per chassis at idle is warming my well-ventilated musicroom too much.

These will be my FIRST Bryston product.

TYVM, James.

Here's a more-recent pic.  The screen is in the movie position; for music, the bottom of the screen is pulled toward the front wall and chained there.  Years ago, I couldn't hear the difference in positions, but I sure can now--when it's in the viewing position, the center of the soundstage gets much shallower.

Had a problem with one of the 7B3s--it clunked as I removed it from its carton, and when I got it on the loboy*, plugged it in, and turned it on, it wouldn't 'light'.. I sent an e-mail to my dealer and the next day** received e-mails from the dealer and Bryston.. Then received a prepaid-return-shipping label and a statement from Bryston's Adam Tanner that he had just initiated the build of a new, just-like-mine amp to be shipped to me as soon as it was finished.. So, in 3 days, I received acknowledgements from both parties, a shipping label, and a promise to replace my amp quickly.. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, BRYSTON AND EDITORS CHOICE HIFI for excellent service.

This excellent service is exactly opposite of the shafting I got from Parasound last year on a new pair of '250s.
.

* WOW is it nice to be able to move 600-Watt monoamps by myself!
