Hello AudioCircle members,

It’s been a long time since I last posted here (I was a Junior Member years ago), so I thought I’d re-introduce myself.

I’m a hobbyist who has been interested in Ambiophonics and stereo crosstalk cancellation (XTC) for many years. I originally wanted to make my tool available on the old Ambiophonics website, but unfortunately it had already closed by the time I finished developing it.

So, I’m happy to share CTXMatrix Lite (current version 1.3) with the community — a completely free 64 bit VST3 plugin and standalone processor for Ambiophonics / stereo crosstalk cancellation.

The goal is to create a more immersive, stable, and 3D soundstage from ordinary stereo speakers and your existing two-channel recordings, after proper ear-based calibration.

For those who remember the Ambiophonics discussions here (including the classic thread from 2008 where Ralph Glasgal participated and shared insights on RACE and related techniques: https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=60814.0), CTXMatrix is a modern, lightweight, and free DSP implementation inspired by those foundational psychoacoustic ideas.

•  Free for personal / non-commercial use
•  Lightweight 64-bit VST3 plugin (compatible with hosts like JRiver, Audirvana, Reaper, etc.) and a convenient standalone processor for media players
•  Straightforward ear-based calibration using test tones — no complex measurements required
•  Low latency when using proper ASIO drivers

Thanks so much for the link. I saved it and will catch up at some point.  I still have a modded Carver C-9 Sonic Hologram Generator in a back-up two channel system (and one of these years I may take it out of the system and compare processed and unprocessed recording to hear the effects - I'm way behind on everything).  I'm sure the members will appreciate it.
