New member here, been enjoying all the info I’m finding. After watching Danny’s YT video on the shortcomings of the Zu DW’s I’m starting to understand why they don’t spend a lot of time with my SE84UFO2.1 amp. I have several other speakers I enjoy more and rotate thru. The DW’s generally get used during winter months when I prefer other speakers stay away from the wood stove. I’m not willing to spend for his full upgrade because even with his mods they’ll definitely be better but still not worth it and I hate to waste the ASD with its beautifully expensive horn. I enjoy my OB Lii F-15’s much better (with subs) but they are huge and difficult to work/walk around with an armload of firewood. The ASD 1001 tweeters start and go way past my hearing, don’t think my dogs cared for them either! So, I’m thinking about adding a 2.2uF Mundorf MCap EVO Supreme black caps in parallel along with the ClarityCap MR’s and L-Pad with Mills resistors (4ohm serirs, 8 ohm parallel) to bring it down to my hearing range and lower their volume. Already got No-Rez, tube connectors wire, etc. and will try to brace but kinda tight in there. Am I traveling on a futile journey? Thank in advance for any feedback.
