When we first see Rachel McAdams, she is the awkward, mousy corporate strategist Linda Liddle who barely fits into the office dynamics. She is passed over for the V.P position for the bosses fraternity bro and is now stuck in a dead end job. When Linda confronts her boss Bradley (Dylan O’Brien), he is impressed by her boldness and invites her to accompany him and three other executives on a private jet for a business trip to Bangkok to finalize a company merger.

Unfortunately for Bradley, the plane crashes on a remote island in the Gulf of Thailand leaving Linda and Bradley the sole survivors. Bradley is injured and Linda is a "Survivor" super fan. The roles are now reversed. Will Bradley accept her authority and give up on his loathsome, boorish behavior in order to survive?
The first time Bradley realizes that frumpy Linda is more than she appears to be is when she drops a huge boar head next to his lean to. She has never hunted before and says “I think I like it!.”

Linda has made life very comfortable on this deserted island and Bradley appears to accept his new role as a grateful survivor.

But this is a Sam Raimi film and all is not what it looks like. Linda is tired of being the nice girl and decides to take charge of her life. The soundtrack is by Raimi's frequent collaborator Danny Elfman so we know we are in for a good time.
Plenty of surprises but nothing too gross.
