Grace (Samara Weaving) is getting married. Her new quirky family is insanely rich so the ceremony takes place at their huge mansion on a palatial estate. The family made it's fortune by selling games so the wedding tradition is to play a game at midnight. The game is chosen randomly so it could be Old Maid, checkers, or Hide and Seek. Guess which game Grace pulls from the mystery box?
But there is a twist, Grace must survive the night as the family members seek her wielding guns, rifles, a crossbow and a mid-evil hatchet.
Grace's pure white wedding dress is crimson by the time the sun rises.
Although billed as a horror film, "Ready or Not" is not scary, the humor and gore is similar to the Evil Dead films and the series "Ash vs Evil Dead" that starred Bruce Campbell. Samara had a reoccurring role for 2 seasons in "Ash vs Evil Dead." Like the 1985 film "Clue", "Ready or Not" is light on it's feet, but with a lot more blood.
