Howdy, folks!
Some of you are aware that I spend part of each year in Taiwan (guess where my wife is from). I've gradually been building up a system to enjoy music there. I've had a pair of Fritz speakers for close to 10 years now, and added a class D amp from a guy in Canada (long story about that situation), a Holo Audio Spring3 KTE, and a Nuprime CD player and a combination of Triode Wire Labs & HAPA audio cables.
The Fritz speakers sound great and I really enjoy them. However, they are ~82.5dB, and don't sound their best in my living room. They actually sound fantastic in a near field setup in my small office -
where they are now located.
Anyway, I have spent 3+ years searching for a pair of speakers to place in our living room in Taiwan, and I recently found them. I have just purchased a new pair of Daedalus Audio Muse speakers. They're front ported, so I can place them close to the front wall. They're voiced fairly closely to their big brothers - the Apollo speakers. [I own a pair of Apollos, and I absolutely love them.] I'll pick them up from Lou in the first week of June and will keep them beside their big brothers until ~November or December when I will ship them to Taiwan.
A BIG thank you to Lou Hinkley for creating wonderful sounding speakers!
