Pete,
I can’t wait for you to hear them! The fit and finish is amazing! The sound just draws you in.

I just watched the NRD review of the Pure Artfi LS-6 on New Record Day by Ron.  I heard these a few years ago at the Texas Audio Fest.  The LS-6's are awesome.  I believe Danny designed the crossover for the LS-6 correct me if I'm wrong.  The LS-6 seems to have some of the same design features as the NRD speakers with the backwards firing tweeter etc.  I am curious how close to each other they sound and what the difference is?  I would love to have either speaker.

And I'm looking forward to my wife's reaction.  I think it will have a high WAF.

I did design the crossover for them.

They do not have a backwards firing tweeter.

They do sound fantastic though.

Just got these fired up. Man these sound amazing. The soundstage reminds me of the NX-Oticas.

VTV NCx500 with stock hypex buffer on top. VTV Purifi with Sticcato buffers below. I’m not doing any serious listening yet on them as I only have 2 hours on them. Need to let them play the rest on the weekend before really listening. They will open up a lot.

Awesome! I have Buckeye Amp monoblocks with Purifi modules. These speakers are very unique in that you will hear songs that you have been listening to for years that will sound in a way that you have never heard them before.

One thing I notice about this speaker that is very important. If the rear firing driver is anything less than 3ft from the front wall, even a few inches, the soundstage depth collapses. So it’s very true 3ft minimum. 3 feet or more equals pure magic.

About 24hrs on the Allies now. They’re starting to open up nicely. The tone of these speakers is perfect. I measured each channel from the listening position and it’s the flattest response I ever had in this room. The soundstage is just like an open baffle speaker. It’s really nice that a compact box speaker can mimic open baffle. It’s much more practical in a normal home room.

How far are you sitting from the speakers?

8 feet

thanks.  I am intrigued by these speakers, my current set is in a small room.  Speakers are 3 feet from the back wall.  Then I am sitting only 4 feet from speakers.  Need to do more research, these 2 speakers may not work in my situation.

The small full range driver means they are brilliant at near field.  I built a pair of LGK 2.1's using that driver for my son's PC gaming/music setup and they are about 3 feet from his chair and they image like demons.

Here's my review of them.  Of course the NRD speakers are going to be on another level (much better), but my review should give you a good idea re: near field performance - https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=188547.0

Duff138,
I have 3 ft behind the speakers and sit about 6 ft from them.

I have way too much stuff in my room. These speakers sound awesome near field.

The vocals from these speakers are the most hauntingly real thing I ever heard from any speaker. Better than any of the NX series and the Superminis IMO.

Yep, that is what they do.

Also, don't be afraid to try pulling them well out into the room.
