WTF is going on here?
"... a man from the future (Sam Rockwell) who charges into Norms diner one night, where normal people are doing normal things: eating burgers, drinking milkshakes, scrolling away on their phones. He looks nuts, but announces to them that he is from the future, and “all of this” — he gestures around them — “goes horribly wrong.” In a tearing hurry, he explains that he needs to put together a team of people to save humanity, right now, and that this is the 117th time he has been in this diner giving this speech."
https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/12/movies/review-good-luck-have-fun-dont-die.htmlDirector Gore Verbinski (Rango, 2 Pirates of the Caribbean films, The Lone Ranger, A Cure for Wellness) throws us into an insanely crazy plot right off the bat. The unnamed man (Sam Rockwell) looks crazy, his rant is even crazier, is he really from the future?
Can the hastily assembled team reach it's goal before time runs out? And don't die while evading whatever it is trying to stop them? Only the future knows.

The cast does a great job depicting the average citizen in extraordinary circumstances. The film stars Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chaudhry, Tom Taylor, and Juno Temple. Videophiles will recognize Haley Lu Richardson as Portia in season 2 of "The White Lotus" and more recently as Twila Hasbeck in the spy series "Ponies."

As the man from the future says: "You're in for a really weird night"
