Looks like my SP3 is not functioning properly. The "Test" function no longer works and some channels seem to be out. Has anyone had this issue with the test button no longer giving out a signal?

Thanks for responding Barry. This is good information. Incidentally, for all those interested, I spoke with Mike Pickett from Bryston and he mentioned that the OS3 for the BDP-3 is still being worked on although I and many others figured it was being abandoned because it is not being made any longer.

Barry, between the information given to me by Mike Pickett and the information you sent to me, I was able to get the SP3 working again. As I mentioned, I appreciate your response as well as your help.

Youˋre most welcome.  Glad you are back in operating mode.
Also glad the lads at Bryston are still working on a Manic Moose upgrade but I can no longer wait so my prized BDP 3 will be on the market shortly.

They haven't abandoned a replacement for Manic Moose because it's still being used in products that are still being manufactured.

Barry, between the information given to me by Mike Pickett and the information you sent to me, I was able to get the SP3 working again. As I mentioned, I appreciate your response as well as your help.

There was nothing wrong with the SP3, but a channel was out on my Krell KAV-500. If a channel is out, the test tone will not work. However, it worked once fixed. James Tanner from Bryston put me on the right track.

Sorry, it was Mike Pickett not James Tanner who helped me solve the issue with the SP3. It was not a hardware issue for sure.
