I would love to hear the triple threats with a pair of LS9's. I have an SMc Amplifier that can be sent in and turned into monoblocks. SMc says 1 monoblock is rated at over 400watts per channel with tons of current. Those monoblocks with triple threats and LS9's would be something to here.
Talking about bass extension!I've experieced some serious bass in my lifetime, but the most "accurate bass reproduction" I've ever heard, was down to 16hz, delivered by this Aeolian organ, at Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA. The room accomodated 300 people in his house, I call a significant mansion. The concrete suport through out the structure was significant. Not only dealing with the 16Hz, but the shear power output, was nothing I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The acoustic's were exemplary. To make that organ now days would cost $11,000,000! If anyone is ever in the PA. area, I highly recommend visiting Longwood Gardens, it' a beautiful mansion. Check out the other offerings, on the grounds. https://longwoodgardens.org/https://longwoodgardens.org/events-performances/music-performances-and-theater/our-resident-instruments/longwood-organ/organ-hishttps://longwoodgardens.org/events-and-performances/music-performance-and-theater/our-resident-instruments/longwood-organ/hear-organ
I was playing around tonight and came across some old rap music from back in the day (the 80's). Sir Mix-a-Lot Posse' on broadway. The recording isn't bad at all. When I heard it on my system I just started cracking up. It sounded freakin good. I have to admit it got cranked up. I bet it never sounded any better than it did until it was played through some OB Triple Threats. The base was super low and tight. You just can't beat the base on those monsters.
