Newbie to this site...not a newbie to audio

Hello, my name is Kenny and I've been into audio ever since I was 10 and my father showed me how to use a soldering iron. To which I saved my money, bought a pair of speakers with wood cabinets, cut the wire from my metal flip down turntable (with build-in amp) and soldered longer wires to move my speakers farther away...60 years later I'm still at it. I used to be heavy into the AVS forums where I learned to setup CRT projectors (mostly NEC and Barco) a couple years ago I completed an addition to our house that's my room, so it's mechanically isolated from the house, has double layer of drywall with green glue, and some acoustic treatments which I'm also in the process of upgrading. (it's winter here and I'm hibernating, so it's the perfect time to work on my toys!)
I used to help work the highend room for Covenant Audio Consulting at CES and "the Show" in LA (we rep'ed WAVAC and Technical Brain) so I got to know some people in the industry. One of which was the owner and engineer of Silverline speakers. Through that friendship I bought a pair of his discontinued Grandeur mrk IIs, they were just the bare cabinets and the Dynaudio drivers, I designed the crossovers (1st order) and wired them (Jupiter cap's, silver wire, etc) I've owned many speakers in my life, Legacy Focus, Martin Logan, Sonus Faber Extrema...the Dynaudio T330D Esotar tweeter in those Sonus Fabers always made me wish I'd never sold them...when I saw the chance to get back to that fine driver at a great deal I grabbed the Silverlines without a second thought!
The two channel part of my system includes the Technical Brain integrated amp, Tech Brain phono stage, Esoteric K03, heavily modified VPI TNT mrk 4 Turntable with modified Eminent Technology ET2 linear tracking tonearm.
I over the last month I've built a Center Channel (I also do some woodwork) with Dynaudio drivers (same Esotar T330D) and am tweaking the crossover, also tweaking the crossover values on my Grandeurs as well.
Anyway, I was doing a search on crossover information and came upon a link to a thread about "betting I can make your speakers sound better" which lead me to this great site. My professional background started in avionics (aircraft electronics) but I moved into Industrial automation and instrumentation (Hydrogen & grid powering electrical Plants)
My ability with crossovers is very limited, hence 1st order...building a better crossover is what brought me here.
