Anyone using Pass XA60.8s with NX-Tremes?
« on: 24 Feb 2026, 04:37 am »
These '60s are the best-sounding amps (of perhaps a dozen-different pairs of expensive amps) driving my SoundLab Majestic 745s, and it's taken three-different periods of ownership to convince me to KEEP them this time.

    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

There is no free space between the speakers, there is a rack, and they are toe-in.

This is an example of very bad dipole speaker positioning.
(close to back wall and no free space between the speakers.

And I'm glad that's not MY setup.

That room is a dealer or an audiophile home?

Man I have not posted any image, You posted that image in the post #1.
However that image may be a dealer room.

Oh my...there's nothing between my speakers but air--the equipment loboy is behind them, toward the front wall.. And you're saying that no toe-in is the best setup for OB speakers?  Baloney! I say.. The best toe-in amount is the one that presents the best soundstage, at whatever toe-in degree that works.. And yes, that's a very early pic of my system; it looks somewhat better now, and for music listening the bottom of the screen gets chained to the front wall so that the screen is 'pointing' about 45 degrees down.

So you are in doubt if that this system is yours.

Just checked AI and in this speaker the Toe-in are mandatory why the horizontal dispersion are too small, typically 45-degree. Incredible.
