Wellcome to the forum…. Not a good way to start - When working as it should they sound very good (musical) and is a great unit. Now, there are only a few units that have been tempered and modified by people that have no business even to open the unit…the good news is that they can be fixed to current specs without spending to much. I suggest you get a hold of Klaus, provide the serial number and we can take it from there.

Been there, done that with an Odyssey amp.  If you're able to give him time I'm confident that Klaus will not only have that Candela back among the living but sounding the way it should.  I'm not sure about these days, but in the past Klaus was a night owl so reaching him in the evenings is the best bet.
