What's the current consensus on the FET Valve 600R? I prefer XLR inputs...

...but I can get along with RCAs.. Even thinking of two of them, each driven only one channel, to get the most power and superior channel separation from them.. They're not very common, but I can surely find one or two if I want.

How do they sound different than, say, the M750s?

Hi I did one of the original reviews on the 600R. The 600R sounds totally different from the DVA and SET amps.  The 600R is dynamic and has good air and transparency but they are brighter compared to the later amps.   The midrange is much better on the 750, it is also smoother and more musical.   The sound is more relaxed but still dynamic.  I would much rather have an SET 500 or the DVA 750 mono's.
